MicroRNA (miRNA) is endogenous non-coding small RNA involved in post-transcriptional gene expression regulation. With the increasing recognition of miRNA, it has been found to affect the development and progression of multiple myeloma by affecting the growth, proliferation, clonal formation and apoptosis of MM cell. This review summarizes current research advances about roles of miRNA in the biological mechanism of multiple myeloma, including pathogenesis, diagnostic value, treatment, and prognosis.
