ABSTRACT

Multivariate statistical analysis is one of the compulsory courses for undergraduates majoring in mathematics and an important data analysis tool for students to solve problems. Multivariate statistical analysis not only has strong theoretical logic, but also has important practical value. According to the professional characteristics for students in University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, combined with the teaching material and my own teaching practice, we analyze the present situation, promote the optimization of teaching curriculum reform and promote the application of multivariate statistical analysis, and other aspects of the course teaching model to explore. We hope to further improve the teaching quality, promote the practical application of theoretical knowledge, and lay a solid foundation for the later study of other specialized courses and the writing of graduation thesis.
