Cervical cancer is one of the commonest malignant tumors in obstetrics and gynecology. In the development of cervical cancer, the infection of high risk human papillomavirus (HPV) is an im-portant tumorigenic factor, common for HPV16 and HPV18. Research in recent years shows that the occurrence and development of cervical cancer is related to the human chromosome telomerase gene amplification. In this paper, the correlation between telomerase gene amplification and cervical HPV infection is reviewed.
