<br/>25-Hydroxyvitamin D3 (25-OH-D3), the first active metabolite of vitamin D3 in the liver, is the primary form of vitamin D3 in the blood. Previous studies showed that dietary 25-OH-D3 supplementation can improve production performance and vitamin D status of pigs. From the perspective of the nutritional functions and advantages of 25-OH-D3, this paper mainly reviews the application effects of 25-OH-D3 in pig diets, and provides theoretical basis for practical production.
