Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is an unstable stage between normal cognition and dementia, which has the characteristics of high prevalence rate and high conversion rate to dementia, and once the development of dementia will be irreversible, the family and society will face heavy pressure. Current studies at home and abroad show that age, sex, education level, lifestyle, chronic diseases, depression and other factors are related to the occurrence and development of MCI. This paper reviewed lifestyle as a controllable factor on MCI in detail, and found out the protective factors and risk factors, so as to strengthen/encourage protective lifestyles, weaken/abstain high-risk lifestyles, and provide intervention strategies for preventing and delaying the decline of cognitive function in the elderly.
