Covalent Organic Frameworks (Covalent Organic Frameworks, COFs) are a type of crystalline porous materials self-assembled by pure organic small molecules through dynamic covalent chemistry. Due to their low density, large specific surface area, controllable structure and easy function and other characteristics, it has good application value in the fields of adsorption, catalysis, opto-electronics, sensing, etc., and the material has received extensive attention in the field of pollutant removal. In recent years, it has been successfully applied in water treatment, including removal compared with organic matter, organic pollutants and heavy metals in water are more harmful, toxic, and difficult to degrade. Organic framework materials show great potential for the removal of heavy metals. The following is a summary of the research progress of COFs and COFs composites in removing heavy metal ions in recent years, and prospects for their application prospects.
